The National Monuments Service's description

Marked as a circular embanked enclosure (ext. diam. c. 40m) only on the 1925 ed. of the OS 6-inch map. Situated in pasture, just S of the summit of a broad hill, it is not visible at ground level. Archaeological testing (08E00019) immediately to the E failed to produce any related material (Wilkins 2011, 361, No. 1227).

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
