The National Monuments Service's description
Located on a shelf on a N-facing slope with rock outcrop exposed on the perimeter at S. This is a grass and rush-covered oval area (int. dims. 39m E-W; 31m N-S) defined by a stone wall (Wth 2-2.5m) which is reduced to a scarp (H 1.2m) at N. The boundary at SE is defined by upright slabs (dims. c. 1m x 0.3m; H 0.6m) laid on the inner and outer faces. The entrance is at SE, but there are no visible internal features. (Moore 1995, 195, 224, 241, E2)
This monument forms part of the national monument complex at Coumaraglinmountain (National Monuments (Preservation) Order No. 4 of 1996).
