The National Monuments Service's description
According to Power (1952, 142) a standing stone at Coolnasmear was known as 'Diarmaid Liath' - Grey Dermot. A standing stone located in Bohadoon on the N bank of the E-W Glendermot River across from Coolnasmear and close to the head of the river valley may be the stone described. This is a conglomerate stone (dims. 0.5-1.2m x 0.7m; H 1.3m) with no perceptible orientation. A fragment (dims. 0.38m x 0.3m; L 1.05m) lying beside it may have been broken off the top.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
