The National Monuments Service's description

Located on a gentle SE-facing slope on the E side of the Monavullagh Mountains. Circular area (diam. 46.3m N-S; 45m E-Wm) defined by an overgrown earth and stone bank (Wth c. 5-6m; int. H 1.9-2.4m; ext. H 1.9-2.4m), with an outer fosse (at N: Wth of top 6m; Wth at base 2m; ext. D 0.5m) SW-ENE. The fosse is obscured by field-spoil SW-NW and an outer field bank survives SW-N. The possible original entrance (Wth 3.7m) is at E. Topsoil from the interior has been removed and the area is now used as a silage pit.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
