The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on high ground overlooking the floodplain of the W-E River Blackwater c. 400m to the N. This is a T-shaped house with a five-bay, two-storey Georgian façade and a three-bay stairs return. The three projecting rectangular towers with crow-stepped gables indicate an early 17th century date, as do the six chimney stacks. It is still occupied.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
