The National Monuments Service's description

A circular enclosure (dims. c. 30m) identified by Lidar commissioned by Transport Infrastructure Ireland (pers. comm. Simon Dowling 4 February 2018). On the 1st (1840) ed. OS 6-inch map a field boundary kinks around the S half of the monument and appears to be deliberately avoiding it, though the enclosure itself is not indicated.
