The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on the flat bottom of a S-N valley with the S-N stream immediately to the W. An area of burnt and broken stones (L 9m) is visible during land reclamation. It is also visible in the section of a stream at a depth of 0.4- 0.9m.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
