The National Monuments Service's description
Excavated (98E0575) as Area 17 of the N25 Kilmacthomas re-alignment. A trough (dims. 1.68m N-S; 1.48m E-W; D 0.43m) was filled largely with heat-shattered stones and is the only remnant of a fulacht fia. The prehistoric deposit (WA015-106001-) is c. 35m to the W. (Tierney and Ryan 2008)
