The National Monuments Service's description
Excavated (00E0197) as Area 28 of the N25 Kilmacthomas re-alignment. Situated on a slight S-facing slope with a N-S stream immediately to the W. Some pits in the vicinity of fulacht fia (WA015-096----) contained chacoal and possible pieces of metal slag, and slag was present in the topsoil, suggesting that there may be a metalworking site in the vicinity. (Tierney 2008)
