The National Monuments Service's description

Marked only on the 1926 ed. of the OS 6-inch map. Situated in pasture on a gentle S-facing slope at the base of the SE-facing slope of Crough Hill, which is a low NW-SE spur of the Monavullagh Mountains. This is an irregular oval-shaped area (dims. 22m N-S; 9.5m E-W) of field stones defined at E by two adjoining lengths of wall foundations (Wth 1m; total L 16m) and at S by a single length of wall foundation (L 15m). The possible souterrain (WA015-044002-) is c. 20m to the SW.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
