The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on a fairly level landscape with a slight E-facing slope. Subcircular area (dims. 34.5m E-W; 31.5m N-S) defined by an earth and stone bank (Wth 3.5-6m; int. H 0.7-1m; ext. H 1.2-1.5m), an outer flat-bottomed fosse (Wth of top 4-5.1m W-N to 7.5-9.3m E-S; Wth at base 1.5m to 5.5m at S; D 0.4-0.8m). There is a complete external stone-faced field bank, which is separated from the outer lip of the fosse by a berm (Wth up to 2.5-2.5m) E-S. The entrance (Wth 2.5m) is at SE. It is planted with coniferous trees.
