The National Monuments Service's description

Situated at the bottom of a gentle SW- and W-facing slope with the E-W Coumduane Stream c. 60m to the S. A U-shaped, heather-covered mound (dims. 13.5m NE-SW; 6m NW-SE; max. H 1m) is open to the SE and adjacent to a small pond or quarry. It is within a field system (WA014-003003-) and cairnfield (WA014-030002-).

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
