The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on level ground. There is a low, circular grass-covered mound (diam. 11.5m) composed of broken and burnt stones in a black matrix at the site of Tobernatemple well (WA013-032001-).

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
