The National Monuments Service's description

Marked as a circular enclosure (diam. c. 45m) on the 1840 ed. of the OS 6-inch map and as a circular field (diam. c. 45m) on the 1927 ed. Situated on a knoll of a S-facing slope overlooking the NE-SW Colligan river c. 300m to the SE. Subcircular grass-covered area (dims. 47m E-W; c. 43m N-S) defined by a stone-faced earthen bank (Wth 2.5-5m; int. H 0.75-1.3m; ext. H 1-1.6m), which is removed NW-NE. There is no visible fosse or entrance.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
