The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on a knoll overlooking a NE-SW stream, c. 30m to the S. Subcircular grass-covered area (dims. 54m N-S; 44.5m E-W) defined by an eroded stone bank (Wth 5.8-8.2m; int. H 0.3m at S to 1.2m at N; ext. H 1.7m at N to 3.1m at E) WNW-S, and enclosed elsewhere by a field wall (Wth 1m; H 1m) built on the remains of the bank. The entrance cannot be identified, but there are gaps in the perimeter at NE, E, SE an S. There is no visible fosse, but a drain crosses the interior E-W and the surrounding fields have been reclaimed.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
