The National Monuments Service's description

First identified in testing (03E1975) by Melanie McQuade of Margaret Gowan and Co. in advance of a new road at the NW edge of Waterford city (McQuade 2006a), and subsequently fully excavated (03E1879) by the same excavator. Situated on the site of Neolithic activity (WA009-027----) and a Bronze Age hut-site (WA09-028----). A N-S post-row (L c. 7m) of seven post-holes (diam. 0.16-0.4m; max. D 0.18m) is c. 18m W of hut-site (WA009-028----). There is no dating evidence, but it may be contemporary with the hut-site or evidence of Late Bronze Age activity in a small pit with some associated post-holes that produced 14 Carbod dates of 1020-830 Calibrated BC. Enclosure (WA009-031----) is c. 100m to the NE. (McQuade, 2006)
