The National Monuments Service's description
The remains of an undercroft (int. dims. c. 15.5m N-S; c. 8.25m E-W) situated c. 10m E of undercroft WA009-005057-, on the S side of Peter St., may have been one of the structures built by John Collyn in 1470 on land granted by Thomas Rice (MacNiocaill 1966, 170). It had been partially destroyed at its N end by 18th- or 19th-century cellars. A plinth, probably for a roof support, was placed 2m from the W and S walls (Wth 0.92-1.3m). A rectangular cess-pit outside the S wall was incorporated in a second phase as an annex (int. dims. 2.5m N-S; 5.5m E-W), while a new stone-lined cess-pit (dims. 1.9m N-S; 0.95m E-W; D 0.2m) was built inside the SW angle of the original undercroft.
