The National Monuments Service's description

Archaeological testing (01E0859 and 01E0860) uncovered a corn-drying kiln as a firing hollow (dims. 1.7m E-W; 1.6m N-S) with a partly stone-lined flue (L 2.9m Wth 0.97m) leading from it at NE to a semi-circular stone-lined kiln, which probably had a door on the straight SE edge. The immediate area was surrounded by post-holes, but no pattern was discernible. (Wren 2003, 386, site 1)
