The National Monuments Service's description

Situated in pasture on the E side of a small valley, on a gentle S-facing slope with a N-S stream immediately to the W. A conglomerate stone (dims. 2.9m NE-SW; 2.3m NW-SE; max. T 0.35m) is resting on the ground at NE and on a surface boulder (dims. 0.9m x 0.65m; H 0.5m) at SW. A hollow (diam. 0.6m; D 0.1m) on the upper surface represents damage.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
