The National Monuments Service's description

Marked as a circular enclosure (ext. diam. c. 35m) on the 1840 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and situated on a gentle NE-facing slope in the foothills of the Comeragh Mountains, with the SW-NE Douglas River c. 120m to the SE. Slightly raised, grass-covered subcircular area (dims. 34m NE-SW; 28m NW-SE) defined by a low scarp (H c. 0.3m). There is no visible fosse or entrance.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
