The National Monuments Service's description
Situated in rough pasture on a plateau at the W foothills of the Comeragh Mountains, with a NE-SW stream valley c. 500m to the SE and the E-W Nier river valley c. 900m to the S. Circular heather-covered area (diam. 56m) defined by a grass-covered stone spread (max. Wth 4m; max. H 0.7m) which cannot be traced from S-SW. It is connected to E end of field system (WA006-055004-).
