The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on a broad hillside. Conglomerate stone with a rectangular cross-section (dims. 0.65m x 0.55m) which widens towards the flat top (H 1.35m). It is oriented NE-SW. An inspection in 2012 found the stone lying prostrate on its SW face (total L 1.72m), showing a rectangular base (0.54m x 0.46m). A flat stone (dims. 0.34m x 0.44m x T 0.05m) lying adjacent may have been a packing-stone. There is a hollow around the area where the stone stood.

The above description is based on the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
