The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on a col in a heather-covered clearing within a coniferous forest, between Milk Hill, an E-W spur of the Monavullagh Mountains to the S and Tooreen Hill c. 400m to the N. Heather-covered mound (dims. 9.2m E-W; 7.2m N-S; max. H 1m) defined by a fosse (Wth at base 1.4-3m) with an outer bank (Wth 1.4-2m; ext. H 0.1-0.4m). A cist (dims. 2.75m x 2.3m) is exposed in the centre of the mound. A stone row (WA006-022002-) is c. 7m to the S and a standing stone (WA006-022003-) is c. 80m to the N, while standing stones (WA006-022005-) and (WA006-022006-) are c. 50m to the W.
