The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on a shelf on the E bank of the SW-NE Clodiagh River with the stream c. 100m to the NW. Oval area (dims. 32m NE-SW; 23m NW-SE) defined by an earth and stone bank best preserved E-W-S (Wth 6-7m; int. H 0.6m; ext. H 0.9m), with slight traces of an external fosse E-W. The bank is reduced to an external scarp (at NW: Wth 3m; H 1.7m) W-E. There is a ramp entrance (Wth 2m) at N, and the interior is planted with coniferous trees. The possible ringfort (WA006-012----) is c. 160m to the NE.
