The National Monuments Service's description

On the summit of Bawnfune Hill. Circular grass and heather-covered stone spread (diam. 14m; H 0.9-1.4m). Within the spread are some kerbstones (dims. c. 0.5-1m x 0.05-0.2m; max. H 0.5m) of a cairn (diam. 5.8m), which are particularly noticeable NW-SE.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
