The National Monuments Service's description
Situated towards the top of an E-facing slope, and marked as a bivallate embanked enclosure on the 1840 ed. of the OS 6-inch map (ext. diam. c. 55m). This is a raised, subcircular grass-covered area (dims. 30m N-S; 26m E-W) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 8-9m; int. H 0.5m at E (downslope) to 1.6m at W; ext. H 1.7m at W to 2.3m at E) with some bushes. The entrance (Wth 4.3m) is at SE, but there is no visible fosse.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
