The National Monuments Service's description

Marked as a circular embanked enclosure (ext. diam. c. 30m) overlain by a NW-SE roadway on the 1840 ed. of the OS 6-inch map. Situated on a knoll rising from a SW-facing slope at the bottom of the Nier river valley. Visible as a D-shaped, grass-covered platform (dims. 30m NNW-SSE; 17m ENE-WSW) defined by a slight scarp and truncated by a roadway at E.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
