The National Monuments Service's description

Located within rath (WA003-007001-) in the NW quadrant. There is an L-shaped souterrain, now roofless, with an entrance passage at E (L 6.2m E-W; Wth 3.5m; D 0.7m) which turns S (L 6.2m N-S; Wth 1-1.25m). Two lintels are visible in situ in the S passage. One displaced lintel has an ogham inscription (WA003-007004-), and the stone is re-used in this context.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
