The National Monuments Service's description

Located on a gentle NE-facing slope, in pasture. Slievenamon is visible to the NNW, there is a low-lying ridge to the NE, very good view to E, impeded view upslope to the S but Comeragh Mountains visible over the crest of the hill, impeded to W by rise in slope though mountains are visible beyond. This is an Old Red Sandstone monolith with a rectangular cross-section (dims. 0.54m x 0.45m; H 1.05m) roughly aligned N-S. According to local information the stone remained upright until 2015. It has now fallen over and lies in the hollow where it formerly stood, resting on two grassy hummocks. The total length of stone (L 1.15m) suggests that only 0.1m of the stone was below ground as 1.05m was visible above the ground when the upright stone was recorded in 1989. However, the ground around the stone had been eroded by cattle by 0.1-0.15m. The bottom rectangular surface of the stone is very flat (dims. 0.37m x 0.34m).
