The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on a gentle N-facing slope. Oval grass-covered area (dims. 47m E-W; 35.5m N-S) defined by an earth and stone bank (Wth 3-5m; int. H 0.1m at NE (downslope) to 1.1m at S; ext. H 0.3m at E to 0.9m at N) with stone-lined entrances at SE (Wth 1.8m) and NE (Wth 3.15m). There is no visible fosse, but the monument is bisected by a N-S field bank.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
