The National Monuments Service's description

Situated in pasture towards the bottom of a N-facing slope. Described in 1977 as a ringfort (diam. 32m) defined by an earthen bank which was reduced to a scarp at N (SMR file). It was removed c. 1980 when a souterrain (WA001-007001-) was revealed in the bank at E.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
