The National Monuments Service's description
On a gradual W-facing slope of Barranacullia hill in the Knockmealdown mountains. This cairn is part of a complex of enclosures (TS091-009001-; TS091-009007-; TS091-009008-; TS091-009009-; TS091-009012-), hut sites (TS091-009003-; TS091-009004-; TS091-009006-; TS091-009010-; TS091-009011-; TS091-009015-), a possible ring-cairn (TS091-009002-), clearance cairns (TS091-009005-) and a field system (TS091-009013-) identified by Diarmuid O'Keeffe, 1996. A hut site (TS091-009006-) is located 14m to the W and a stone enclosure (TS091-009007-) is clearly visible on the slope across the river valley. A cairn (dims. 5.3m N-S; 5.6m E-W; H 0.35-1.05m) composed of sandstone stones which are quite large. This appears to be a deliberate cairn rather than clearance and may be associated with burial. In Scotland slightly larger cairns amidst smaller clearance cairns have been classified as burial cairns (RCAHMS 1990, 2).
