The National Monuments Service's description

On a slight platform of SW-facing slope of Barrancullia in the Knockmealdown mountains, in undulating upland boggy terrain, with heather encroaching on the enclosure. This enclosure is part of a complex consisting of enclosures (TS091-009007-; TS091-009008-; TS091-009009-; TS091-009012-), hut sites (TS091-009003-; TS091-009004-; TS091-009006-; TS091-009010-; TS091-009011-; TS091-009015-), a possible ring-cairn (TS091-009002-), clearance cairns (TS091-009005-) and a field system (TS091-009013-) identified by Diarmuid O'Keeffe, 1996. Large oval area (ext. diam. 24.4m N-S; 28.4m E-W) defined by a rubble stone wall with sandstone boulders (E quadrant: Wth 1.8m; H above int. 0.5m; H above ext. 0.8m; W quadrant: Wth 2.5m; H above int. 0.6m; H above ext. 0.25). The wall has largely collapsed and downslope this collapse is spread out over 9m from the wall. In the NW quadrant the bank appears to have been augmented, probably by more recent field clearance. There is a possible entrance (Wth 1.7m) in the W quadrant. The interior slopes to the SW. There are several small clearance cairns (TS091-009005-) in the vicinity, including one 17.8m to the NE, one 14m to the N and at least four 10-20m to the NNW.
