The National Monuments Service's description

According to the Civil Survey (1654-6) in 'Neddans, Powersland & Ballywalter' there stands 'three thatcht houses with chemnyes, some cabbins and an orchard' which in 1640 was under the proprietorship of 'Richard Butler Irish Papist' (Simington 1931, vol. 1, 342). These houses are unlocated within the townlands of Neddans (Farran) and Neddans (Nagle).
