The National Monuments Service's description
On the N bank of the River Suir, on flat terrain on the edge of the river, with quite a drop to the river and a sharp rise in ground level immediately to the N. There are no visible remains above ground. The holy well is indicated on the 1st (1840) ed. OS 6-inch map but on the 1907 ed. it is marked 'site of'. A stream in a deep cut channel, flowing NW-SE, joins the river at roughly the location of the well.
