The National Monuments Service's description

According to the Civil Survey (1654-6) Walter Prendergast was proprietor of Ballybeg and 'Upon the sd lands stands a thatcht house with a chemny' (Simington 1931, vol. 1, 325-6). The house was provisionally located to Tullaghmelan Rectory, however this building has no evidence of any early fabric. The house remains unlocated within the townland of Ballybeg.
