The National Monuments Service's description

On the crest of a ridge in rolling pastureland. The field boundary to the E has been removed. No visible remains above ground. There is a kink in the field boundary to the N which follows the line of the N quadrant. It appears in the 1840 OS edition as a roughly hexagonal shape, the E side being incorporated into a field boundary. On the later 1907 OS edition (diam. c. 38m N-S; c. 33m E-W) it is depicted as a bank in the N and W sectors and as a scarp to the S, the E side again is incorporated in a field boundary. The monument was inspected in 1958 and excluded from the Land Project scheme of the time. It is described as being partly destroyed 'About a quarter of an otherwise levelled low platform ringfort. In good tillage land, fairly level (100-200 O.D),with slight drop to the W. Interior of the fort is level. Fosse is 6ft/1.8m wide on W side. Fosse bottom 1ft/0.3m below outer ground level, 4ft/1.2m below inner platform. Ground level to E is the same inside and outside. Radius of circle would c100"/30m. Only SW quadrant exists. Scrub around fosse: grass inside. Rest of field is tilled. No sign of fort in adjoining field (apparently completely levelled, if it ever existed). It is just possibly an old garden plot rather than a ringfort' (O.P.W correspondence files, Feb. 1958).
