The National Monuments Service's description
On a stream called 'Mill River' which loops off the River Tar. According to the Civil Survey (1654-6) on the Manor of Castle Grace there was 'a grist mill' (Simington 1931, vol.1, 371). The present mill at the location identified on the RMP (1997) is a 19th-century flour mill. The 17th-century mill remains unlocated.
