The National Monuments Service's description
On the E-facing slope of a gentle N-S ridge, in pasture. A raised, roughly circular area (diam. 22m N-S; 20.7m E-W), defined by scarp (H 0.32m S quad.; 0.92m upslope; 1.76m downslope) and surrounded by a fosse (Wth 2.1m) cut into the ridge. The interior slopes quite steeply to E. The E side of the monument utilises the natural drop of the ridge. There are natural pools immediately to the NE and SE and one to W (diam. c. 6m) at the base of the scarp. There is a ramped entrance in the E quadrant between the two ponds (Wth c. 7m), it is quite steep and narrows towards the exterior. There are clumps of scrub and brambles on the SE edge of the monument and also in the centre of the interior and along the N side which has been fenced off with post and wire fencing. Otherwise the interior is grass-covered and cattle poached in places, the scarp is quite denuded. A field boundary runs E-W along the N quadrant.
