The National Monuments Service's description
In a courtyard within the Franciscan Friary (TS083-019003-) of Clomnel. The medieval friary has been much modified and it is possible that this architectural fragment came from the friary, however, it may also have been brought here for safe keeping. It consists of a capital (Wth at top 0.38m; Wth at base 0.2m; H 0.25m) decorated with agapanthus leaves in high relief. The top of the capital is broken off and has a layer of concrete. It is resting on another larger capital (TS083-019097-) of a similar style.
