The National Monuments Service's description
At the W end of St. Mary's graveyard (TS083-019020-) close to the W porch. A rectangular graveslab (H 0.41m above ground; Wth 0.43m; T 0.17m) which is upright within the graveyard, embedded in the ground. The back of the slab is roughly dressed. There is an english inscription, in raised Roman script, in horizontal lines across the slab, within a narrow plain border. The inscription is mostly visible above ground as: HERE LIETH INTERRED THE BODY OF CHARLES BLOVNT SON TO COLL CHARLES BLOVNT WHO, the remainder of the inscription, now buried, has been transcribed as: DEPARTED THIS LIFE 4 JANUARY 1651 (Vigors 1888-91, vol. 1, 243).
