The National Monuments Service's description

According to the Civil Survey (1654-6) in 'Cruttagh' there is 'a thatcht house with a chemny & a little orchard' which in 1640 was under the proprietorship of 'Morrish English of Cruttagh Gent. Irish Papist' (Simington 1931, vol. 1, 319-20). This house is unlocated within the townland of Crutta South.
