The National Monuments Service's description
According to the Civil Survey (1654-6) in 'Cloghnecody' there is 'a Castle' which in 1640 was under the proprietorship of 'Richard Keating of Nickolstown Esqr. Irish Papist' (Simington 1931, vol.1, 346). This castle is unlocated within the townland of Cloghanacody.
