The Civil Survey (1654-6) describes 'upon the sd lands of Kilcomanbegg stands a stone house' which in 1640 was under the proprietorship of 'Morrish Roch of Killcomanbegg Doctor of Phisick and Thomas Lord Baron of Cahyr Irish Papists' (Simington 1931, vol.1, 355). This house is unlocated within the townlands of Kilcommon Beg and Kilcommon More (North).
