The National Monuments Service's description

On a SE-facing slope just off the crest of a hill, in rolling pasture. Power (1908, 73) refers to an early church site at this location based on the townland name ‘Killinure’, which means the ‘Church of the Yew Tree’. The possible church site is enclosed by a large sub-circular field which may be an ecclesiastical enclosure (TS081-058001-) with associated burials (TS081-058004-). There is no visible trace of the church above ground.
