The National Monuments Service's description

On a natural rise on the W edge of a broad ridge which slopes, fairly steeply to a stream below, in reclaimed pastureland. The monument is depicted as a large, roughly circular enclosure on the 1st (1840) ed. OS 6-inch map, and the S half is depicted on the 2nd (1906) ed. OS 6-inch map (diam. c. 67m E-W), the N half appears to have been levelled at this stage. An aerial photograph (GB89.AA.11, 16 July 1989) shows the cropmark of a curvilinear enclosure defined by a fosse, with traces of an incomplete outer fosse on the NE side. There is now no visible trace of the enclosure above ground.
