The National Monuments Service's description

On flat ground in upland terrain, under pasture. A large sub-circular enclosure (diam. c. 100m) which has been largely levelled and the NW and W sectors are not visible at ground level. A field boundary running N-S bisected the enclosure. The S quadrant is just visible as a low bank (Wth 2m; H 0.12) while the N quadrant, E of the N-S field boundary, is the best preserved with a scarp (Wth 4.7m; H 0.17m); fosse (Wth 3.9m; D 0.32m); outer bank (Wth 5.9m; H 0.2m) and outer fosse (Wth 2m; D 0.2m). A curving field boundary defines the E and SE quadrant. While a similar field boundary runs E-S along the edge of the S sector, it consists of an earthen bank with a stone revetment with no visible trace of a bank immediately W or N of this boundary, as is depicted on the 2nd (1906) ed. OS 6-inch map. The monument is shown on an aerial photograph (Air Corps V.312/3076-5).
