The National Monuments Service's description
Within Kilmurry church (TS078-53----), lying recumbent at the E end of the church. Only the lower portion of the slab survives (L 1.19m; Wth 0.93m base; T 0.13m). Raised black letter script in marginal band is very worn, only legible section reads: -S VXOR ELLFNA. Stylised cross-shaft consisting of vertical bands rests on a simple curving calvary mount. The slab is decorated with symbols of the passion. On the dexter side of the shaft from top to bottom there is the jug and basin in which Pilate washed his hands, Peter's sword and the ear he cut off, the hammer, pincers holding three nails. On the sinister side there is the scourging pillar with robes surmounted by the cock, two flails of knotted cord and one unidentified object possibly a scourge, the feet and faded items below, probably the hands.
