The National Monuments Service's description

Stone wall (dims. 40m NW side; 67.13m NE side) surrounds the fortified house (TS078-047----). Limestone rubble, randomly built within courses. E end of NE wall the wall forms the back wall of a long farm building. Narrow opes in this face, some blocked-up, appear to be contemporary with 19th-century farm building. Two openings from the road which runs along SW wall. Both entrances are defined by offset square piers, which appear to be 19th-century in date. The W end of the SW wall has been lowered and capped with a crude upright stones. The wall is probably contemporary with the fortified house but may be related to the 18th/19th century re-occupation of the site.
