The National Monuments Service's description
On quite a steep S-facing slope, running down to stream which flows into the Lingaun River. Enclosure has been levelled and is not visible at ground level, despite being under pasture in a field grazed by sheep. Fort was known locally as Rathalainn. Monument is depicted as a circular enclosure on the 1st (1840) and 2nd (1901-05) ed. OS 6-inch maps.
